Facebook Ad Tool Can Capture E-Commerce Market

Facebook Ad Tool Can Capture E-Commerce MarketFacebook is about to capture e-commerce market with the launch of a new tool that will let the retailers track the purchases by the members of social media network who would have viewed their ads.

It is said that, Facebook is taking-off this tool in response to the demand from internet marketers who still do not believe in the effect of the social network on sales. The reports said that the basic target of this tool will be the online retailers and travel websites which require an immediate response on their ads.

In this tool, Facebook will also give online marketers the option of direct marketing to a specific group on the social media network that has the similar interests and can respond well to the advertisement.

Online retailer Fab.com, which has tested the new tool of Facebook, has reduced its cost “per new customer acquisition by 39 percent when it served ads to consumers deemed most likely to convert,” Facebook said. Facebook introduced the conversion that is “anything from a completed sale, to a consumer taking another desired action on a website, such as registering for a newsletter.”

Yahoo is totally confused by the Facebook’s new service and their source contacted SFGate.com and said that it doesn’t only “competes with one of Yahoo’s flagship ad products” it “would kill us.”

This is an important move by Facebook to boost their revenue stream. With this new tool Facebook can beat everyone, including Yahoo, because Facebook has the following advantages.

  • Facebook already has more brand advertisers than others
  • Facebook is the platform where number of users view the brand ads
  • No one has the email addresses of users who view the Facebook brand ads

To Land over Landing Pages!!

Today's blog is for all the PPC people...
I'll be telling you how important your landing pages are (of course, you'll be knowing it yourself but i'll just be throwing a bit more light over a few things).

Let's observe contradicting scenarios:

You run a beauty saloon & you've put up an advert about nail art. An interested person clicks on it & the landing page turns out to be your home page; having hair-dos & makeup bars & stuff......& there you have some linked section about nail art too. Though it's relevant but still there are 98% chances that it'll be a big turn-off for the viewer; as they were looking for pure nail art & not the show down of your whole saloon services.
So, you don't wanna do that!!

Now, the objection arises that if we don't do that then only 1 of our services will be viewed by visitors. Well, that one has a very simple solution, make an advert for other pages too. Yeah, i know it's costly but don't go after making 1 for each page (that will be a total waste of money); just focus on the most wanted services.

Coming to the design of the landing pages, people usually choose them to be different & simpler (for ease of loading) from the rest of the website. The "simpler" part is OK with me but i don't favor making them different from the website.
Suppose your visitor has landed on a page through an advert; the look or feel of the page being different from the site won't matter in this case. But now, let's suppose the visitor has actually typed in the URL of your website & is going through it page-by-page. Then, what will happen?
The whole of the website was a simple black & white combo & suddenly one of your landing pages showed up & it's red & yellow (or some other contrast)...woah!! that'll be such a big & negative blow to whatever the image was there in the mind of the viewer.
So, don't do that!!

Your landing pages are actually promoting your business, along with persuading the visitors to become your customers. So, they are really important.
Now, i know you want that whoever lands on your website must know each & everything about you & your company or business & so you either make your home page the landing page or you put info about yourself on the landing page. Both approaches are wrong!!
It takes time to gain customers...if your service page caught their interest once, they will themselves navigate through the rest of the site to see who you are & what you do.
More importantly, if they thought that you really provided them with what you had shown in your advert, they might actually spread the word around too.
So, put up the things that you have promised them via your advert & DON'T forget to put up an action-call on the page to make them instantly contact you!!
For the rest of the details about yourself, you don't wanna do that with your landing pages (unless it is really relevant to what your ad was saying).

That's all from my side...

Something about PPC!!

So, let's talk about PPC (pay-per-click) today...

About PPC, it is said that if you use it wisely, you can make millions BUT if you don't, then say bye-bye to billions (ha! ha! i love how they use evil tones to create humor!!)

OK! so you think you have done your homework on how & what & where you will be putting up your ads using PPC...
I'm just here to give to some precautionary measures during your whole journey of PPC process.

To begin with, this thing is going to save you money in the long run. Make sure you avail it to the fullest; plan carefully.
So, what you need to do is to make an impressive landing page for your viewers; it is a key factor of making them stay & like. It should clearly & attractively be mentioning what are you offering & why should they choose you over others.

Most publishers are very peculiar about the things they advertise. If they find your ad to be unattractive or not very captivating for their traffic audience, they will simply remove it. Now that is a waste of efforts on your part, isn't it?? So, to avoid this thing from happening to your hard work, monitor the results of each of your campaigns & make amendments to them accordingly. Keep experimenting with the look & text of your ads to see which one gets the best response.

Some people might not consider this a very good thing but believe me, it makes a big difference. While creating your ad, do put up an action-call, like "CLICK HERE!!" or "GO NOW!!" etc. It will actually compel the person watching your ad to go click on it; rather than just reading through your ad & moving on to others.

Have a balanced sort of offers to be promoted in your ads. You will be spending a great deal of money on it, so you don't want any non-serious buyers to be the major portion of your traffic. Putting up loads of free deals will attract free-loaders only, but not putting up any discounted offers may make you loose your potential buyers. Be very very careful in your choice (just as Elmer Fudd goes, "Be vewy vewy quiet, i'm hunting wabbit...hahahaha!!").

While biding or choosing for a place to put up your ad, be among the highest bidders as being on the 1st page counts a lot. But do try to avoid the starting 2 or 3 positions, if you can; they are subjected to most accidental clicks (& you don't wanna end up paying for them now...do you??)

PPC has several advantages of marketing, you are only required to have a keen observation to notice them & make appropriate settlements for them.
So GOOD LUCK with your PPC!!
